We still need to do the backsplash and add the crown moulding and toe kick to the cabinetry but…. We have countertops now! We haven’t installed my little coffee area countertop yet because we have to build out the wall a little bit still. Goodbye old plywood! The counters we chose are from the brand Cambria and the color is Torquay. We love them! Here are a few iPhone pics, for good measure I added a few “befores”

Most likely this will be the type of backsplash we are doing, Benja has his heart set on it… And he wants to do dark grout… What do you think??
Thanks for stopping by!

Gorgeous kitchen remodel! Love the look of the West Elm barstools – are they comfortable? How is the quality of the swivel?

Thanks so much for the quick reply! Sorry for one more question – how this fabric/color held up to stains? I have a toddler so debating about this 🙂 Thanks again!

You’re welcome! Hmmm, stains might be a little tough, thankfully we havent had any spills on the chairs yet. I do have a neice who is 3 and when she comes over we just throw a towel over the the stool shes sitting in. The fabric seems durable enough to clean but i cant say that with much confidence since I havent had to yet! Hope that helps!

Lovely kitchen! Now that it’s been a few months, how do you feel about the counter stools? They are great looking and on our short list (not available now, but West Elm said look for them again in October). Are you happy with the way the fabric is wearing?
Thank you so much for your time! Cheers!
